Microneedling, also known as 'dermarolling' is a non-surgical skin treatment that uses a hand held roller of very fine stainless steel needles of 0.5 to 3 mm in length. The tiny microneedles are rolled over the skin causing 'controlled' micro-injuries and creating hundreds of tiny vertical channels. The tiny micro-injuries stimulate collagen and elastin formation and the vertical channels allow increased product penetration (by up to 80%). Microneedling treatments have minimal discomfort and little to no downtime and are effective for: anti-aging, stretch marks, scars, and skin texture.
